Rules are made to be broken and in that spirit for the first time a man is gracing our front cover, former MP and now Mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham. Andy has supported Justice for the 21 and The Truth About Zane campaigns, both close to our hearts, and championed the Hillsborough families and people affected by the NHS’s use of contaminated blood products amongst many campaigns for truth and justice. Of course we also have our usual mix of amazing women; Dr Helen Swift on women intellectuals in medieval France; former literary agent Jennifer Kavanagh on finding true success in life; the career of ‘the public face of pathology’, the incredible Dr Suzy Lishman; scientist and charity founder Amy King and her inspirational story.
